The extension is designed to respect your privacy. We collect very limited data necessary for the extension's core functionality:

• Text for Translation: When you select text on a page, that text is sent to translation services to provide you with the meaning.
• Images for OCR: When you use the "Snip & Translate" feature, the selected image area is processed locally or sent to an OCR provider (OCR.space) if configured.
• Local Settings: Your preferences (e.g., enable/disable meaning, synonyms) and your saved vocabulary (the "Vault") are stored locally on your device via Chrome's storage sync/local APIs.

2. Third-Party Services

To provide high-quality translation and OCR services, we interact with the following third-party providers:

• Google Translate API: Used to convert English text to Bangla. No personal identifiers are sent with these requests.
• OCR.space API: If you use the OCR feature, your selected image snippet is sent to OCR.space for processing. This is governed by their separate privacy policy.
• Sentry: We use Sentry for error tracking and crash reporting to improve technical stability. This data is anonymized and contains technical diagnostic information only.

3. Data Usage & Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information to outside parties. Your data is used purely for functional purposes:

• To provide translations and OCR results.
• To remember your customized extension settings.
• To display relevant sponsorship or advertisement configurations fetched from our secure GitHub repository.

4. Data Retention

Most data (like your "Vault" of saved words) is stored locally on your computer. If you uninstall the extension, this local data is typically removed. We do not maintain a permanent database of your translated text on our servers.
